Handcrafted Gemstone Jewelry Designs and Making Ideas from India

One of the favorite crafts which you could think of is jewelry making specially when precious stone beads are involved like rubies, tanzanites, emeralds or sapphires. Any kind of beads be it imitation type or genuine stone beads should be part of any well-equipped jewelry making kit. I love the choice of styles and design inspirations that jewelry making allows you to try. The range of materials that you can use for jewelry making also means that their possible uses are limited only by your aspiration and/or imagination. Even though I was not a particularly experienced craftsperson I soon found that I enjoyed jewelry making and created wonderfully handmade jewelry atleast in the beginning and now I have team of them to make but they cannot create unless proper guidance is given to them. We have a great selection now on our website necklaces page but are always improving on the ones made before and looking for inspiration to make new ones!

Unique Emerald and Ruby Jewelry from India

Sometimes a combination of just 2 stones can create something simple yet really exquisite.

I enjoy jewelry making using a variety of different materials like copper, silver and gold plated wires besides designer clasps. It is fun to look at what I have handy that can be converted into unique one of a kind handmade jewelry. One of my favorites is using thin silver wires inbetween 2 or 3 different kind of beads to make unique beaded jewels.

Of course jewelry making is made more fun if you’re selling online or giving them as gifts to other people to wear. Note that if you take it as a business and give it your heart and soul then it can surely turn into a profitable venture. I started creating necklaces and earrings to give as gifts but eventually started selling them at wholesale prices online. Your loved ones will always appreciate handmade goods more than shop-bought ones. Even kids like making friendship bracelets for their mates and have recently got into using lettered jewelry to make up people’s names on necklaces. A lot of kids wear them round here and also have become interested in jewelry making too!

We use a lot of different materials as a base for our gemstone jewelry making. It would probably be impossible for me to remember all of them and put them up here but I like using sterling silver findings available at a flea market or any wholesale findings shop and natural gemstone beads the most. We have tried almost anything that we could thread a bead onto probably but the exploration of designs is like that of the Mars Rover and is limitless…!
